How do I sign up for an audition?

1.) Fill out the Registration Form
2.) Sign up for an Audition time- Thurs May 15, Fri. May 16, or Sat. May 17

When are the performance dates?

Thurs. July 10 & Fri. July 11 at 7:00 p.m. & Sat. July 12 at 1:00 pm

What is the show being performed?

Matilda the Musical
Presented through special arrangement with and all materials are provided by Music Theatre International.

Where will the performance be?

​Rensselaer Central High School Auditorium

Who can participate in the summer performance?

Eligible participants are children currently in grades 4 - 8. 

​How much does it cost to participate?

Participation is free. 
All who audition will receive a role or have the option to work behind the scenes on the production.
Roles can be as stage performers, stage technicians, sound or light crew, costumes, set build/paint and more!

What rehearsals is my child required to attend? ​

Fendig staff will do its best to work around participant's schedule conflicts when we know about them in advance.  Rehearsals take place Monday - Friday from Noon to 4:30 p.m. A weekly schedule will be posted every Friday. Participants will be scheduled for times they are directly needed for rehearsal. 

NO Rehearsals for actors- Memorial Day(Mon. May 26), Thurs. July 3, Fri. July 4, and weekends  

When will the Cast be announced?

Monday, May 19 at 6:00pm.  Held at Fendig Headquarters. (Where the auditions are- 503 S Melville St, Rensselaer.)

Why should I/my child join?

Fendig Theatre for Children is for everyone. Performing and creative arts provide education in a diverse range of skill sets such as acting, singing and dancing but also how to work together, discipline, confidence, organization and technical skills that can be used as your student grows. The experience is a great way for kids to meet people and have fun!

I/my child has accessibility needs such as physical, hearing, sight, etc... How can I talk to someone to work out participation?

I'm not eligible. How else can I participate?
