I am excited to be leading the music for the Wizard of Oz. It is a great honor to work alongside Logan Torbet and Kelsey Witt for a second time! Fendig Theater has been a family tradition for many years. Four of my five children have participated in this awesome program. I directed the music for Beauty and the Beast, Aida, and Singing in the Rain. I assisted with Oklahoma, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Wind in the Willows. I have always been so impressed with the accomplishments of the children, the costume design team, and all who work to make these shows wonderful!
- I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Oakland City University, Indiana. I later added endorsements in Band, English, and Historical Perspectives. I received my Master of Arts degree in Church Music & Liturgy (vocal emphasis) from Saint Joseph’s College, Indiana. I have been a music teacher since 1993. I have worked in the private and public education setting along with being a freelance musician. My favorite things in life are my family, my faith, sunshine, and the Minnesota Vikings. 😊

I am very excited to be back in Rensselaer for the summer to work with Fendig, especially because I get to work with Logan and Sharon! This will be my second summer officially working with Fendig, but it has been a part of my life since 2001 when I was in my first production as a 4th grader. I am especially looking forward to being back in the theater, which has always been a second home for me, and to work with the kids!

Since last working with Fendig for Singin' in the Rain, I have graduated from Indiana University with a degree in English Education and I have gotten married. Currently, I live in Muncie, IN and work for The Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities. It is a public residential high school for juniors and seniors. I live in the dorm with the students and do lots of different things to help take care of all the students who are away from home. When not at school, I spend my time with my husband Chris and my two cats Olive & Bug.
