Fendig Theatre for Children is pleased to introduce our 2020 season, the Fendig Theatre Experience. Our staff is creating exciting episodes for everyone to learn about theatre performance and production. We are inviting all to take part in our season, and encourage you to join our Core Ensemble for exclusive opportunities at no cost. The Core Ensemble will receive personalized feedback from our staff and are guaranteed to appear in our final performance. ​ We look forward to creating with you!

Rachel Breitigam

Rachel is excited to be joining Fendig for the 2020 season. Rachel's first Fendig experience was watching Hello Dolly! in 2017. She was amazed by the production and returned to help with Disney's Newsies and The Hunchback of Notre Dame in the following years. ​
Rachel just graduated from Ohio Northern University with a degree in International Theatre Production and focus in Stage Management. At ONU, she has worked on many productions including, Young Frankenstein, Romeo and Juliet, Carrie: The Musical, and Sweet Charity.  Rachel is looking forward to having a fun summer connecting with the community virtually. ​

Harrison Heinig

Harrison is very excited to be back at Fendig this year after designing last years’ production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame! Harrison started performing with Fendig in 2009 and has been in many productions including Seussical and Singin’ in the Rain. He has volunteered on Fendig’s productions of Willy Wonka, Wizard of Oz, and Hello, Dolly! and worked as the assistant director on Disney’s Newsies.
Currently, he is pursuing degrees in International Theatre Production and Computer Science at Ohio Northern University. While working at The Freed Center for the Performing Arts, Harrison has worked on many productions including Spring Awakening, Young Frankenstein, and Carrie: the Musical. Harrison is looking forward to giving back to the community and providing an amazing experience for the children of Rensselaer.

Sydney Bement

Sydney has recently completed her sophomore year of college at Marian University where she majors in Math and Theatre. Throughout her life, theatre has played a big role. She started doing theatre with Fendig, and from that point on she has continued to pursue this passion. 
Along with theatre, Sydney participates in the choir at Marian University along with various math and theatre honor societies. She is thrilled to be able to be a part of the Fendig family again and be able to connect with the kids throughout this virtual season!

Blake Rushing

Blake is thrilled to be back this summer to be a part of Fendig’s 1st ever virtual season. This will be Blake’s 4th summer working with Fendig. Blake choreographed Fendig’s 2015 production of Mary Poppins and directed Fendig’s 2018 and 2019 productions of Disney’s Newsies and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. 
Blake currently lives in New York City, and recently finished working as the Child Talent Assistant for the 1st season of The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo and the 51st season of Sesame Street.  Blake and the Fendig team have worked very hard to bring you this unique virtual experience, and he can’t wait to continue teaching the young performers of Rensselaer this summer. ​​
