Meet your Production Assistant!

Rachel Breitigam

Rachel is looking forward to joining this year's team as the Production Assistant! Rachel's first Fendig experience was watching Hello Dolly! in 2017. She was amazed by the production and the atmosphere of Rensselaer and returned to help with Disney's Newsies the following year. 
Rachel is an International Theatre Production major at Ohio Northern University with a focus in Stage Management. At ONU, she has worked on many productions including, Young Frankenstein, Romeo and Juliet, Carrie: The Musical, and Sweet Charity. 

"I am excited to bring some of what I've learned about theatre to such a fun community!"

Harrison Heinig

Harrison is very excited to be back at Fendig after assistant directing last years production of Disney's Newsies​! Harrison started performing with Fendig in 2009 and has been in many productions including Seussical and Singin' in the Rain. He has volunteered on Fendig's productions of Willy Wonka, Wizard of Oz, and Hello Dolly!
Currently, he is pursing degrees in International Theatre Production and Computer Science at Ohio Northern University. While working at The Freed Center for the Performing Arts, Harrison has worked on many productions including Young Frankenstein, Carrie: the Musical, and Sweet Charity.

"From very early on Fendig has instilled in me a love for theatre. I am looking forward to giving back to the community and providing an amazing experience for the children of Rensselaer."

Cameron Cornell

Cameron is thrilled to get the opportunity to work with Fendig and the community of Rensselaer this summer. He is a Chicago based actor and director that has worked with many theatre companies and schools throughout the midwest. Cameron has worked as an actor, director, musician, and vocal coach in recent years.
Most recently he was the Music Director for productions of Grease and Nunsense. Cameron recently performed as an actor in The Secret Garden and Willy Wonka. He is currently working on a new show's debut in Chicago!

"I am looking forward to working with students again and having the opportunity to teach the love and magic of theatre to a whole new generation."

Sydney Bement

​Sydney is excited to be working on her first Fendig production! In 2011, Sydney acted in her first production Aida, and continued to perform in many Fendig productions including Suessical, Singin’ in the Rain, and Willy Wonka. Fendig is what sparked her passion for theatre, and she has continued to be active in the theatre communities in Rensselaer, Demotte, and Indianapolis. 
Sydney is from Rensselaer, and is currently studying at Marian University in Indianapolis where she continues to be involved in show choir and theatre. Her majors include Secondary Education and Mathematics with minors in Theatre and Spanish. While at Marian, Sydney has worked for the Marian Theatre Department and has been involved in productions such as Urinetown and Argonautika. Sydney’s favorite roles include Lorelei Lee in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Dance Captain in Footloose, Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, and Old Ma Strong in Urinetown.

Blake Rushing

Blake is back after directing Fendig’s production of Disney’s Newsies last summer! Blake is originally from Carrollton, Texas and grew up traveling to Rensselaer often to visit family. Many visits coincided with Fendig's annual production performances where he was inspired to train in Musical Theater.
Some of Blake’s favorite roles include Pinocchio in Shrek the Musical, Leo Bloom in The Producers, and The Baker in Into the Woods. Blake studied Musical Theater at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York and worked for the Broadway Theatre Project in Tampa, Florida. Blake is currently living in NYC and working at Shuffles Tap and Musical Theater Studio and as a dancing M&M at the M&M’s World Store in Times Square while pursuing his dreams.

“I’m very excited to be back at Fendig this summer. My mom, aunts, uncles, and cousins have all been involved in Fendig productions. I love that I get to work and not only be a part of a family tradition, but a Rensselaer tradition.”
