In just two short weeks we will be having auditions for this years production! I could not be happier that we will be producing The Hunchback of Notre Dame this summer. A lot of thought was put into deciding this year's production. After Disney's Newsies, I was completely blown away by the talent in the cast. You all truly exceeded my expectations, and are amazing storytellers. You definitely seized the day!

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a very challenging story to tell, but because of how hard you work and all the talent at Fendig, we know that this production will be amazing!
The composer of Disney's Newsies, Alan Menken, and the composter of Wicked, Stephen Schwartz, have created a masterpiece with the music in this production. I cannot wait for all of you to start learning it! Our Music Director, Cameron, is very excited to starting working and is going to help you sound amazing!

Along with great music there are some awesome dancing moments in this show. Sydney, our Assistant Director, and I are very excited to teach all new dance moves for this show. In addition to all of the dancing, we will get to do more stage combat! Last year we did combat with our hands but this year some of it will require swords.

The musical of The Hunchback of Notre Dame is very different from the Disney film. In the Disney film, you will see Quasimodo interacting with three gargoyles. In the musical, the entire cast represents those gargoyles. This will give everyone more opportunities to be onstage and a larger role in telling our story.

I could write all day about all the things that excite me about getting to work on this show with you, but you’ll learn them all once we start rehearsals. The production team and I can’t wait to see you at auditions. Please come ready to learn, and be yourselves. There’s absolutely no reason to be nervous. You don’t need to prepare anything, just come in and follow our instructions and you’ll be set!

Hope to see you guys at auditions!
